Happy Republic Day To All Indians!!!

It feels so good to see India as a vibrant country, its diversity, its unity, despite efforts made by certain sections de-establish it: this is  a country that none can break or divide.  Although we gained independence on August 15th 1947, we were still a colony of Britain.

However, on January 26th 1950, we the people of India were really free from the British rule. On this historic day our constitution was officially enforced, making us a: Sovereign, Secular, and Democratic Nation.
What a proud day, it was, it is, and will always remain so.
For us there is no difference, we  are all one and enjoy living together.

1950 First Republic Day of India speech by Dr. Rajendra Prasad

"We must re-dedicate ourselves on this day to the peaceful but sure realization of the dream that had inspired the Father of our Nation and the other captains and soldiers of our freedom struggle, the dream of establishing a classless, co-operative, free and happy society in 'his country'. We must remember that this is more a day of dedications than of rejoicing - dedication to the glorious task of making the peasants and workers the toilers and the thinkers fully free, happy and cultured."

Today, we have at last, realized the significance of India becoming a Republic: we the citizens of India have the power to govern ourselves, by choosing our own government.
Isn't it a great feeling?

That is St. Philomina Catholic Church in Mysore, and the Synagogue is Mogen David Synagogue in Bombay. Both these places are so beautiful.
Yeah, we don't have any problems with anyone, it is the politicians who are bent on creating problems for their own selfish interests.

    1. Thanks SG.Such diversities nowhere else one can find in this whole world. Differences and bickerings caused by various elements are sure to be there, for a country like ours, but we have survived taking all the differences , with a positive attitude. Soon we might have a better party than even BJP, for the new generation, it is only prosperity and goodwill, that would be the main focus of the New India. Maybe not in our times, but soon enough.

  7. Hello Rama, HAPPY REPUBLIC DAY.

    Excellent post with lovely photos.

After we got freedom from the British we have advanced in numerous fields and now we are one among the super powers in the world. It is expected India will overtake China and become one the leading global powers. Probably we are the only country in the world which so many languages, customs, habits, climate, food, dress religion etc. UNITY IN DIVERSITY is the hall mark of India. With so much variety it is a marvel that our democracy functions smoothly. Political parties come to power and go but our democracy is vibrant.

Like every other country we have our problems but that is manageable.

Wish you and your family all the best.

We are still a young country despite, all the wisdom that surrounds us. We are always learning, and soon we will be able to overcome all the obstacles placed in front of us.
