My never ending fascination for beautiful cloud formation and sunsets

Every evening as I look out from our balcony, I find myself  witnessing different kinds of sunsets and cloud formations, each one of them unique and very beautiful.... I am always ready with my camera to shoot as many pictures as possible before the sun finally sets.
The Sun is a big show off, always teasing me, pretending to set, and always peeping from behind some awesome cloud, which is no less a show off..... both the Sun and the Clouds vying for attention, trying to out do each other, but never succeeding for both look equally beautiful and amazing....
Here are some pictures, you can see for yourself the drama they create each day:

Finally they are ready to say good bye...
I am grateful to the Universe for creating such amazing scenes for  us to witness everyday, day after day.
Do you ever look at nature and admire its beauty, what is your favorite, is it the Sun, moon, rivers, birds, the clouds  or the rain what is it, that keeps you hooked?
Please share  with me.

  7. Hello Rama,

Amazing photos. You are very lucky to stay in a place which gives you such awesome view of the sky,sun and clouds.

I am always fascinated by the sea. I love to hear the roar of the waves, the crashing sound it makes on the shores and rocks, the lovely evening breeze cooling our body in the summer,to get some calmness and peace of mind when upset by walking along the seashore or simply to sit near the shore and watch people walking, laughing, munching something or to watch the little children play in the waves and screaming as the waves come towards them, to watch cargo ships and oil tankers from far away lands cruising steadily towards the sun set and as you watch they slowly disappear in the horizon, to watch fishing boats chugging along either going into the deep blue sea or coming back with rich catch and to see fishermen struggling to net some fish. The sea affords a different scene altogether in rainy season, the fury of the waves crashing against the rocks sends a shudder into ones heart and making us uneasy and frightful of the force which lies in each thundering waves,The waves look dark and foreboding as it rolls along the vast murky waters, the seagulls screaming above unable to catch their prey.Everything looks pretty grim and gloomy.

I lived near the Bay of Bengal when I was young,I lived near the Arabian sea when I started working in Kerala and Goa.And ofcourse I have been to Kanyakumari few times to watch the colossal Indian ocean mingling with the waters of the Arabian sea and Bay of Bengal.

Now since I have plenty of leisure time I watch every thing under the sun.Not only watch but keenly observe because everything both big and small, significant and insignificant, ugly and pretty, big and small in this wonderful world has a lesson to teach us provided we have an open mind.

I thoroughly enjoyed your post and wonderful photos which opened up my mind and thoughts. An inner force nudged me to write this long winding comment.

    Have a nice day Rama,
    Joseph

  12. Lovely photographs Rama. Thanks for your detailed comment on my blog. With regard to doing research on India, how much ever research you do, you still have surprises. Moving with ILs was not a choice. Due to my MIL's health issues they are with us and it has been a tug of war kind of situation. Hopefully that will pass on too. We currently dont have any plans of going back immediately. Hopefully things settle down and we get used to this life style.

  14. I love the sun set pictures especially in US. In India both the rise and set especially near the ocean.

Those are lovely pictures, especially the ones with the sunlight forming a lining outside the clouds.

I am back to blog-land catching up on my reading.

  15. I actually enjoy the huge diversity of beauty that surrounds us. That said, I do have to admit that I have a "thing" for the moon. It's so lovely, watching us always with its changing face.

  18. Absolutely stunning!!. God inded is a beautiful artist and you have captured them so beautifully.

I love watching the star spangled sky and their positions. I generally hate the evening twilight , i somehow find the time very depressing especially during winters. I love nature on a bright spring morning.

  25. Rama... these are some really beautiful pictures of sunset and loved the way you described them... Some pictures have a magical feel to them.

My favourites are the sun, the moon, the sea and the forest :) guess I mentioned almost everything... there is nothing in nature that you cannot admire.

Answer to your question on my blog... Traditionally Tiramisu is made from savoiardi biscuits or sponge cake. But you can use any biscuit which doesn't have an overpowering flavour- Marie biscuit is good in that way. But if you want to experiment you could try any biscuit you like, which gets along with coffee flavour. One that I personally am waiting to try is with Dark Fantasy choco fills, but I guess then the name Tiramisu will be violated. Do let me know how it turned out for you.

  26. Gorgeous pics, Rama!
I love everything that you mentioned...can't point on just one! As a child(even now), I used to gaze at the sky for long hours to see their changing shapes, moving clouds, different hues, passing birds, twinkling stars and the fully bright moon. Sometimes they play hide and seek and if one is lucky one could even get a glimpse of a shooting star(and I would've forgotten to make a wish!)...so many wonderful things in and around you! Nature is the greatest artist of all!
Every night before I go to bed, I need to get a glimpse of the moon/stars or atleast the cool sky...

ps:Thanks for your visit, kind comment and following Rama:)
